Join us for the Marin Human Race!
SUPPORT NOVATO HUMAN NEEDS CENTER
IN THE MARIN HUMAN RACE
Saturday, May 7th, 2011
The Marin Human Race is a great fundraising event for the Center and also a great way to get the word out about the important work we do. This year the race will take place Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Marin Center Fairgrounds and Lagoon with the 5k run/walk starting at 8:30am. (late registrations starts at 7:00am). After the race, stay for the pancake breakfast, watch the children’s race, and visit with staff and volunteers from the Center. You may support us in the following ways:
Make a Donation—Sponsor someone on the Novato Human Needs Center’s Team by donating online or giving them a check.
Donation by Check: You may give a check to an NHNC team member or mail it to Novato Human Needs Center, 1907 Novato Boulevard, Novato, CA 94947. Please make checks payable to Marin Human Race and write Novato Human Needs Center on the legend of the check.
Donate via Website: If you know the name of the participant you would like to sponsor, go to www.marinhumanrace.org and click the link, “sponsor participant” and type the name of the team member you wish to sponsor and follow the instructions. If you do not know the name of a specific person and wish to support the Novato Human Needs Center, go to www.marinhumanrace.org, click on “Participating Organizations” button on the left hand side of the page, scroll down to Novato Human Needs Center and click the link. You may sponsor the entire NHNC team or individual participants.
Join our Team! Join the Novato Human Needs Center’s team to run/walk yourself and get friends and family to sponsor you. Visit the Marin Human Race Website at www.marinhumanrace.org, click “Register Here”, “I Agree”, then “join a team” and scroll down to and select Novato Human Needs Center. Once registered, you may click the “Spread the Word” link on the left side of the main website to e-mail your friends.
Get out there and Cheer! Come and join us and cheer for Center participants in the race, visit our booth, and support the work of the Center!

Regina Rus Joins NHNC Board of Directors
The Novato Human Needs Center is proud to announce that Regina Bianucci Rus has accepted a position on its Board of Directors. Rus, a local CPA and resident of Novato for 19 years, has volunteered for the Center’s Holiday Share Program through its food and gift drives and participates annually in the Holiday Share shopping days. With extensive volunteer experience in a variety of nonprofit organizations in the community and her affiliation with the California Society of CPA’s, Rus brings a breadth of knowledge to her role at the Center that will help expand agency resources and enhance client services.
