A Night of Gifting
Celebrating the Success of Gifting!
On Saturday, November 6, 2010 the Novato City Hall was the site of a festive fundraiser organized by the Novato Women’s Network in support of the work and services of the Center.
A Night of Gifting featured a live auction, a silent auction, a raffle, regionally made wines, locally made microbrews, and food samples from Novato restaurants. Music was provided by Black Cat Bone, a trio that plays ‘60s and ‘70s acoustic rock, blues and pop tunes for which everyone knows the words.
With over 250 attendees, the City Hall was packed with delicious food, festive decorations, and a buzz of conversations, auction items, and dancing throughout the evening.
This first time event was inspired by the women of the Novato Women’s Network who dedicated their time, energy, talents, and passion for the work of the Center to this event. Because of their dedication, they raised $8,200 for the Center from this event and raised awareness in the community about the services and resources of the Center.
The Novato Women’s Network is a business based, community oriented group of talented professional women dedicated to improving business awareness in Novato and Marin through quality work, community outreach, and fundraising events. The specific purposes of this corporation is to build a network of professional women focused on supporting each other and the community by raising funds for local charitable causes.
